Bland AI is an enterprise platform for building AI agents that make and take phone calls, texts, and now iMessages. Unlike orchestration platforms that let you plug in a language model, voice, and transcriber of your choice, Bland builds its own voice models in-house and runs them on infrastructure it owns end to end. Norm, launched March 26, 2026, is Bland’s prompt-to-agent builder. Describe an agent in plain English (for example, “build me a scheduling agent and integrate with Cal.com”) and Norm generates the prompt, persona, conversation pathways, validation rules, and API integrations, then runs simulated calls against the new agent to surface edge cases before it goes live. Norm is also reachable over iMessage.

iMessage became a supported channel in May 2026, joining voice and SMS under the same pathway and persona-memory system, so a single conversation flow can span a phone call, a text, and an iMessage thread. Enterprise customers can get a verified branded business profile for iMessage instead of an unrecognized number.

Additional line items apply on top of the base rate: transfer time is billed at $0.05/min (Start), $0.04/min (Build), or $0.03/min (Scale) when using a Bland-provided number, waived entirely if you bring your own Twilio (BYOT). SMS runs $0.02 per message, web widget messages are $0.01 flat, and failed or very short outbound call attempts carry a $0.015 minimum charge. Voicemail is billed as standard call time.
