How aipedia.wiki handles data, consent, analytics, affiliate links, and reader requests.

Last updated:

Summary

aipedia.wiki is an independent, agentically operated review site for AI tools. The site collects limited data to serve pages, protect forms from abuse, measure what readers use, and maintain newsletter, review, and correction workflows. aipedia.wiki does not sell personal data or run third-party advertising pixels.

What data is collected

The site collects only the data needed to serve pages, detect abuse, and measure traffic. Specifically:

  • Server request metadata. Vercel processes request metadata needed to host the site, route requests, serve static assets, run API functions, protect infrastructure, and diagnose operational issues.
  • First-party traffic and performance analytics. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights measure aggregate traffic and Core Web Vitals without third-party cookies. Speed Insights is designed around anonymous performance data rather than individual visitor profiles.
  • Optional Google Analytics. Google Analytics 4 only loads after you click "Allow analytics" in the privacy controls banner. It measures site usage such as pageviews, referral source, browser, device, country/region, approximate engagement, commercial CTA clicks, and search-result interactions. We set IP anonymization and disable Google signals and ad personalization signals.
  • Search queries. The Pagefind search index runs in the reader's browser. If analytics is rejected, search stays local. If analytics is allowed, the site may send aggregate search-event data to Google Analytics, including the search term, result count, result type, and search surface.
  • Newsletter signups. If you subscribe, the site stores your email address, signup source, timestamp, and a hashed IP value for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • Reader reviews and feedback. If you submit a review or correction, the site stores the content you submit, moderation metadata, and anti-abuse signals such as hashed IP, user agent, and spam score. Review email addresses, when supplied, are hashed before storage. Approved review text and display name may appear publicly.
  • Local preferences and lightweight votes. Theme, analytics choice, compare-tray selections, and helpful-vote state may be stored in browser localStorage. Helpful votes also send the page slug, page type, and yes/no value to the site so editors can see which pages need work.
  • Email you send. If you email editorial@aipedia.wiki through a feedback form or correction link, the message is delivered to an editorial inbox. Content is read, actioned where relevant, and retained for correspondence history.

What is not collected

  • No third-party advertising trackers.
  • No behavioural advertising profile, cohort membership, or retargeting pixel.
  • No account system. No login. No password to leak.
  • No sale of personal data to third parties.

Cookies

aipedia.wiki does not set first-party tracking cookies unless you consent to analytics. The site stores functional preferences in localStorage, including theme, aipedia-cookie-consent, compare-tray selections, and helpful-vote state. These values keep the interface usable across visits.

If you click "Allow analytics", Google Analytics may set analytics cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits and produce aggregate reports. If you click "Reject", Google Analytics does not load. You can change your choice by clearing site data for aipedia.wiki in your browser.

When you click an outbound link to a tool's website, that third party may set its own cookies under its own policy. aipedia.wiki does not control those cookies. See the affiliate disclosure for how affiliate links work.

Third-party services

  • Vercel hosts the site, delivers pages through its network, runs the server-side API functions, and provides Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Vercel privacy notice, Web Analytics privacy, and Speed Insights privacy.
  • Neon Postgres stores newsletter and review records when those features are enabled. Neon privacy notice.
  • Google Analytics 4 provides consent-based aggregate traffic analytics. Google Analytics is not loaded unless you allow analytics in the privacy controls banner. Google privacy policy.
  • Affiliate networks (Impact, PartnerStack, Rewardful, FirstPromoter, ShareASale, others) may drop a click-tracking cookie when you click through an affiliate link. Each network runs under its own privacy policy, linked from the destination site.

Your rights

Readers in the EU, UK, and California may have statutory data rights, including access, correction, deletion, objection or opt-out, and non-discrimination rights depending on the law that applies to them.

Because aipedia.wiki does not maintain reader accounts or behavioural advertising profiles, there is limited reader data to request. Infrastructure request metadata is handled through Vercel's hosting and observability systems. Newsletter records, review submissions, helpful-vote aggregates, and email correspondence are handled by aipedia.wiki for the purposes described above.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of data the site holds about you, email editorial@aipedia.wiki with subject line "Data request". Requests are processed within 30 days.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. No data is knowingly collected from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the site, its infrastructure, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent material change or accuracy refresh. Substantive changes are announced in the site-wide news feed.
